Jess Mia Handoff Spec

Boundary

Jess coordinates the podcast lifecycle. Mia creates written content assets.

Jess should not become the content writer. Mia should not become the podcast coordinator.

Primary Handoff

After an episode is recorded, Jess creates a handoff to Mia with:

• episode_id
• guest name and company
• transcript path or transcript text
• prep doc link
• selected or working episode title
• publish date if approved
• best quotes, topic tags, and clip timestamps if already extracted
• target assets requested

Mia Response

Mia returns structured assets:

• Justin LinkedIn draft
• guest LinkedIn draft
• show notes / Buzzsprout description support
• Justin article draft
• guest bylined article draft
• quote-card brief
• content kit copy

Completion Contract

A Mia handoff is complete when:

• all requested asset types are created or explicitly marked not applicable
• each asset references the source episode
• each asset has review status
• Jess can include the assets in her ready-for-approval summary
• no external content is published or sent

Failure Modes

Mia blocks instead of guessing when:

• transcript is missing or unreadable
• guest identity is unclear
• requested output requires a publish date but none is approved
• source material does not support the claimed angle
• brand voice or authorship is ambiguous

First Implementation Slice

Port archived Mia as a content service first:

1. Recover models, depth classifier, LinkedIn composer, podcast processor, content writer, and tests.

2. Adapt storage from old CCOS/OpenBrain tables to the current canonical RedKey/B2BEA content asset table.

3. Add one callable command/task: process_podcast_transcript.

4. Return assets to Jess by ID, not prose-only summaries.
